Awareness Camp in Sardar Patel Garden for World Diabetes Day on 14th November 19

14th November is celebrated as World Diabetes Day every year. Our Country has the dubious distinction of being the diabetic capital of the world meaning there by that we have the largest population of diabetic patients in the world. As most of the patients are discovered accidently during routine check-up, an endeavor is made by the medical community in collaboration with the pharmaceutical companies and prominent members of civil society to make the general public more aware of the symptoms and signs of this silent but dangerous disease if not detected.

Cantt Board Agra with the co-operation of “Agra Diabetes Forum” organized an awareness camp in Sardar Patel Garden, Agra cantt on 14/11/2019.

The program was chaired by C.E.O (Ms.) Jyoti Kapoor and attended by board members and prominent physicians of cantonment area. A discussion was held on diabetes prevention and its management and healthy lifestyle tips were shared.

R.M.O. (Dr.) Bhupendra Kumar thanked everyone for the enthusiastic participation in the end.

On 14th Nov. 19, on the occasion of children’s day an educational program was conducted by Cantonment General Hospital in Cantonment Board School Agra which was chaired by C.E.O (Ms.) Jyoti Kapoor.

CEO gave an inspiring talk on gender equality and related issue which was followed by Dr. Rajvika Choubey’s Lady Doctor (MO) talk to raise the awareness among students about the equality, discrimination and exploitation faced by girls in society. She explained about the equality in term of education, nutrition, medical care, freedom, e.t.c. The main aim was to highlight the “RESPECT TOWARDS WOMEN” & promote awareness about the right of girl child, importance of education & stop gender discrimination. The talk was highly appreciated by the school staff & children.

Dr. RAJVIKA CHOUBEY LADY DOCTOR (MO) of CGH thanked the CEO, and school staff for organizing this talk & for their enthusiastic participation in the end.
